They are manufactured in a very wide range of dimensions and qualities. Basically, sanding sleeves are made from abrasive cloth that is spirally wound onto a fabric with a very robust base. This results in very long service lives in the machining process, for example in metal and woodworking. A distinction is made between cylindrical and conical sanding sleeves.Abrasive sleeves are used on the appropriate abrasive sleeve carriers, which are mostly driven by hand-held machines (straight grinders, devices with flexible shafts, etc.).
