The expander discs are exclusively provided with a specially slotted NBR coating, which means that the sanding sleeve is tensioned by centrifugal force during the processing process. In practice, the expander discs coated with the material NBR are often simply called \u201crubber expander discs\u201d or also grinding sleeve carriers.Advantages of expander discs with pararubber coating:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wear resistance<\/li>\n<li>Oil resistance<\/li>\n<li>Grease resistance<\/li>\n<li>Emulsion resistance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Due to these outstanding properties, the FAPI-PA expander discs have proven themselves on the market for decades.The hardness of the para rubber covering can be differentiated into two levels. The spectrum here ranges from a soft para-rubber covering with 45\u00ba shore (A) to a slightly harder, so-called medium-soft para-rubber covering with 60\u00ba shore (A). A softer or harder version of the covering would result in the individual \u201clamellas\u201d of the expander disc expanding too much or too little due to the centrifugal force during the machining process in order to properly tension the grinding sleeve. However, upon customer request, we also produce FAPI-PA expander discs in other hardnesses.The correct selection of the expander disc hardness always depends on the individual application.In addition to the sale of new expander disks, we also offer the replacement of used expander disks as a service, provided this is possible after a final assessment in our company.
