The FAPI-BW contact disk is covered with cotton fabric lamellas around the aluminum core. The height of the covering or the length of the cotton fabric slats can be selected variably depending on the application (standard: 35 mm).
By covering it with cotton fabric lamellas, the contact disk is given a “running cushion” that allows for (very) fine grinding, especially on (strongly) curved and profiled parts.
The covering adapts easily to any workpiece to be sanded. In particular, the softer coating design of the FAPI-BW contact wheel contributes significantly to the cooling of the sanding belt, as the heat from the belt grinding process is dissipated through the spaces between the lamellas.The contact discs of the FAPI-BW series are very suitable for fine grinding thanks to their construction with lamellae made of cotton fabric.Advantages of contact discs with slats made of cotton fabric:

Unfortunately, an exact specification in Shore (A) is not possible.
