In the FAPI-VUS DICHT contact disc, the aluminum core is provided with closely spaced slats made of foamed Vulkollan®. The height of the covering or the length of the slats made of foamed Vulkollan® can be selected variably depending on the application (standard: 20 mm and 35 mm).
By covering it with lamellae made of foamed Vulkollan®, the contact disc is given a “running cushion” that allows for fine grinding, especially on (strongly) curved and profiled parts. The covering adapts to every workpiece to be sanded.
In addition, this contact wheel design makes an outstanding contribution to cooling the grinding belt, as it dissipates the heat in the spaces between the lamellae.
Contact discs from the FAPI-VUS series are exclusively covered with slats made of foamed Vulkollan®.Advantages of contact discs with a coating made of foamed Vulkollan®:
