The contact disc FAPI-VUS OPEN is a further development of the sealed version. In the open version, the aluminum core is alternately provided with a long and a short lamella made of foamed Vulkollan®.
The overall height of the covering can also be adapted to the respective application and can therefore be selected variably (standard: 20 mm and 35 mm).
Thanks to the open design variant, the sanding belt can be cooled better and the heat can be dissipated better. By precisely adapting the soft running pad to the workpiece to be ground, high-performance processes in the fine grinding area are possible.
Contact discs from the FAPI-VUS series are exclusively covered with slats made of foamed Vulkollan®.Advantages of contact discs with a coating made of foamed Vulkollan®:
